Men’scapes is a one day gathering for gay, bi, trans, two-spirit, and queer men (GBMSM) across Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands to come together and share.
What tools do we have? What tools do we need? We are searching for story tellers, dreamers, thinkers, performers, academics, elders, rabble-rousers, and veterans of queer men’s experience. No previous presenting experience necessary, just your own rich lives, and a desire to help other GBMSM add more tools to their tool belts! If you have a story you want to tell, experiences to share, a lesson learned, or a passionate topic- we want to support you to share it!
Abstract Submissions: Max 300 word description of presentation/workshop topic. Please provide a list of resources and supplies needed. Presentations can be 20-90 minutes, so please specify desired length. Please include name, contact email, and phone number in your submission. Submission Deadline: Monday April 30th 2018 at 4pm, please note that space is limited so please do not wait to submit your abstract!
Mens’capes will have free Registration, include some meals and there are limited travel bursaries available. Please contact jonathan.degenhardt@avi.org for more information. Registration will begin April 10th and will close June 1st.
