AVI provides comprehensive education and prevention information across Vancouver Island to schools, the broader community, and populations at increased risk of contracting HIV and/or hepatitis C.
We’re always happy to answer questions informally by phone or in person. Each AVI office also has a Health Promotion/Education team that does workshops and trainings online and in their community
Evidence demonstrates that comprehensive prevention programs can help to effectively contain HIV, hepatitis C, and other communicable diseases.
Our education and health promotion activities include:
- Presentations to community organizations, schools, etc.
- Educational materials distribution
- Outreach for youth and incarcerated individuals
