We provide education, support, and advocacy for people infected and affected by HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C, and other communicable diseases. AIDS Vancouver Island is committed to providing integrated services to these individuals and our Street Outreach Program provides services for people who use drugs by injection. As an example of our commitment to reducing harms and containing HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis C and other communicable diseases, AIDS Vancouver Island has managed the country's oldest needle exchange program since 1988. To maintain contact with friends of the agency, AIDS Vancouver Island manages this website, www.avi.org. In general, when you visit our website and access information, you remain anonymous. We do not require you to register or provide personal information in order to view our site. However, if you choose to contribute to our website, you must register by providing a valid email address.
