Dining Out for Life: March 29, 2012

Thank you for your interest in participating in Dining Out For Life, which has become one of Vancouver Island's most visible fundraising events. In 2011 we raised more than $30,000 for services with the help of 65 restaurants and thousands of diners. We'd like you to join us in 2012!

On Thursday, March 29, 2012, thousands of people will join together in the fight against AIDS by dining out at participating restaurants. Those restaurants will contribute 25% of their food revenues to AIDS Vancouver Island.

We have an extensive promotional program including radio, television, newspaper, internet, flyers, and posters (based on 2011 - details to be confirmed): the OCEAN, JACK FM, /A\ Vancouver Island, Times Colonist, Monday Magazine, Comox Valley Record, Nanaimo Daily News. A dedicated web site (www.DiningOutForLife.com, which is in the process of being redesigned) will provide further information on the event and participating restaurants. Participating restaurants with web sites are linked as they sign up (updates begin in January 2012).

In addition to advertising, there is an extensive, ongoing promotional plan to feature Dining Out For Life throughout the media. We will provide you with billfold inserts and posters for use in your establishment for three weeks prior to March 29.

Although we can't guarantee that your business will increase that day, over 70 % of participating restaurants return each year and almost all of them report increased revenues! Together, we can make 2012 Dining Out For Life an enormous success.

Terms and Conditions:

Restaurants will contribute 25 per cent of each patron's food bill, exclusive of liquor, taxes and gratuities, on Thursday, March 29, 2012 for breakfast (optional), lunch (optional) and dinner (mandatory unless not open for dinner).

The restaurant's name will be used by the AIDS Vancouver Island AIDS Society (AVI) to promote Dining Out For Life.

Dining Out For Life will provide restaurants with promotional materials, including posters, table cards and billfold inserts.

Restaurants will distribute, or allow the distribution of, prize draw envelopes to each diner on Thursday, March 29, 2012.

Restaurants will account for, and forward to the AVI, all contributions payable to Dining Out For Life on or before Friday, April 20, 2012.
