Gay Men's Community Development

This note is to inform you that Rick Barnes has left the project, effective 29 November. The MWP coordinator position will be posted next week. Know of anyone who might want to apply? Watch AVI's website, www.avi.org on or after December 8th for application details!

Over the coming weeks, the MWP at AIDS Vancouver Island will be contacting you regarding activities we've planned for the new year. Until then,please make note of a few changes.

The Victoria men's discussion group, scheduled for Monday, December 6th, has been rescheduled for the following week on Monday, December 13th, from 7pm to 9:30pm at AVI's offices at 1601 Blanshard Street (Victoria). This will be the last Victoria meeting before the holidays. We'll be meeting again on Monday, January 10th.

The Nanaimo discussion group sheduled in January will proceed as planned.

Finally, you can look forward to a special issue of "Men's Briefs" early in the new year, along with a "queer-focused" conference, to be held in Victoria, in late March. Scholarships for this conference will be available for those who would like to attend from outside of Victoria. We'll keep you posted!
