Can Someone Talk To Me and Not Just Blow Me Off

Had a unfortunate condom break...I was the top...when I felt the condom break anywhere from 3 to 5 minutes...I pulled out and immediately washed my penis (anal sex w/ man). While washing I noticed no blood and no open soars on my penis.... Throughout the six weeks having weird symptoms:
1. Unexplained gas (lasted two weeks)
2. Fingers and hands tingling
3. Lymphs (neck and groin) slighlty swollen
4. Minor aches and pain (pain in lower back - can't determine if it's from aniexty)
5. very small headaches (nothing huge)
6. Eyes (sharp pain every now and then)
7. Ears (estachen tubes (mispelled) seem swollen

Performed a six week and 4 day Home access kit...results negative

Wouldn't anibodies show up at this point? And is this negative a good chance I will be negative when I take my 2 month and 3 month tests...based on the attitude of the bottom..I think he was positive...Please provide some feedback...everyone just blows me off. Thanks in advance.

Dear Mimnbb, When people

Dear Mimnbb,

When people first get infected with HIV they go through a sero-conversion period where the virus multiplies quickly in their blood stream. Some people experience symptoms during this time which indicate that their immune system is struggling with the virus, such as: rashes, fevers and swollen lymph nodes. However, many people do not show any symptoms at all and so go undiagnosed for years. The symptoms you described above could be signs of many other medical conditions that are not related to HIV so it would be best to talk to your doctor about them.

According to transmission guidelines for Canada a condom breaking during anal sex would put you at a low risk for HIV infection. If you are still concerned about the possibility of a positive diagnosis I would suggest that you request the standard Western Blot or ELISA test for HIV which is still considered the most reliable. You must wait 3-6 months to get this test done as it tests the antibodies that are working against the virus. It takes this long for the human immune system to build up enough antibodies that your health care provider can tell that you are either HIV + or HIV-.

If you would like more in depth information about testing or places to get tested in your area please contact me eithere through email or by phone and give your location.

Thanks for you questions,
