Have you been tested? One in five people in Canada who are HIV positive don’t know their status despite early detection providing the best outcomes.
AIDS Vancouver Island is offering free confidential HIV and STI testing on March 15th, 2017. This testing event aims to provide accessible HIV and STI testing while educating individuals about the importance of early detection and how simple it is to implement regular testing as part of a healthy lifestyle.
The event will feature point of care tests, including the regular HIV/HCV test as well as the Rapid HIV test, with results available in less than 60 seconds. Pre and post-test counselling, harm reduction supplies and support for mental health and addictions will also be available.
