Anita McLeod, Counsellor/Advocate

Born and raised in Nanaimo, Anita graduated from the University of Victoria with a BA in Sociology in 1997 and later, went to work for the Victoria Cool Aid Society. She moved back to Nanaimo to work with the Haven Society’s Willow House pilot project and then with AVI’s new Health Centre in December of 2003. Anita has been with AIDS Vancouver Island – Nanaimo as the Positive Wellness Counsellor since April of 2004.
