Dana Becker, Executive Assistant

Dana Becker has been with AIDS Vancouver Island - Nanaimo since it opened on December 1st 1995. Previously, Dana coordinated the Nanaimo & District AIDS Collective (NADAC) a small volunteer organization that was founded in 1991 and merged with AVI to open the AVI Nanaimo office.
As the Executive Assistant for AIDS Vancouver Island, Dana works on human resource management, policy and procedures, coordinates the Nanaimo AIDS Walk, etc., and takes care of all other program issues at the Nanaimo site.
Dana was integral in getting the new AVI Health Clinic (Nanaimo) opened, and ready to provide services to people who use opiates and are at risk of or living with HIV/AIDS and/or HCV. The AVI Health Centre opened on December 1st 2003.
