Nanaimo Comedy Fundraiser to help prevent overdose deaths

Mid Island Comedy at the Corner Lounge will be presenting a marathon night of stand up to support the AVI Health Centre’s local programs that help to prevent overdose deaths in Nanaimo. 100% of all proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the take-home Naloxone program facilitated by the AVI Health Centre. On Thursday February 9th there will be two comedy shows at the Corner Lounge, 121 Bastion Street. The early show will feature top class comedic talent (Sean Proulove [featured on CTV’s Comedy Now], Darcy Boon Collins and Myles Anderson [who both will be feature in Just For Laughs Northwest]. The early show starts promptly at 8pm. The late show will feature amateur comedian from across the island and it starts promptly at 10:30pm.

Another focus of this event is awareness and education. Throughout the entire night staff from AVI will be at the Corner Lounge distributing educational resources.
